 Free Certified Manufacturing Associate:

Independent, Self-paced On-line Program. 

The Certified Manufacturing Associate training program helps prepare individuals to start a new career in manufacturing. The 25-class online training program from Tooling U-SME can be bundled with the nationally recognized Certified Manufacturing Associate credential. This training program prepares individuals for high-demand, entry-level careers including assemblers, manufacturing associates, and production operators.   The 25-class training program can be completed in less than a few weeks. They are conveniently accessible anytime, anywhere on desktops and laptops, and tablets with the Tooling U-SME app.

This program introduces basic concepts in the areas needed for a successful career as a Certified Manufacturing Associate: 

Additives, Manufacturing, Blueprint Reading, CNC, Inspection, Lean, Math Fundamentals, Measurement, and Inspection, Quality, Robotics, Safety, and Troubleshooting. 

MassHire will provide the $75 fee to enrolled individuals to complete the certification exam that is proctored onsite at MassHire North Central Workforce Board at 100 Erdman Way, Leominster, MA 01453.   Please register for more information including eligibility requirements.

Production Technician including Robotics : In-Person Training at Mount Wachusett Community College, Devens Campus

Days & Time: Monday-Thursday, 9:30 am - 2:30 pm (30 minute lunch break)

The Automation Technician Training (ATT) program is a hands-on program that prepares students for jobs in advanced manufacturing companies and for additional training in the future. Students will be prepared to seek jobs in the operation, maintenance, and installation of industrial equipment at local companies upon completion of this course.

This program is designed to provide the concepts and skills necessary to become a Manufacturing Technician employed by manufacturing companies running automated equipment. The content areas include online modules as well as hands-on activities using training equipment. The concepts and skills presented during the program are relevant to setup, programming, running, and troubleshooting automated equipment.

Robotics and Automation Training (RAT), provides foundational knowledge for an entry-level manufacturing technician, with Robotics Training to obtain a certificate in FANUC CERT“ Handling Tool Operations and Programming” Cert Level 1.

Spring Session 2022: April 13 - May 19th , 2022

Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 pm-8:30 pm. 

Training prepares students with welding vocabulary, techniques, and basic operations of a welding gun. Lessons will include lecture, demonstration, discussion, online course modules and lab exercises. This is a 6-week non-credit training course design to provide the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to prepare students for an entry-level career in welding.

Session Spring 2022:  May 3 - June 28, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 p.m. 

Days & Time: Mondays

Become a CNC Machine Operator and begin to open doors to the world of computerized machining.
Students will learn to program, set-up, and operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling equipment. Students will receive instruction in machine motion, mill control panels, machine startup, and operations.

Students will manufacture simple parts using CNC milling equipment and will gain the experience of performing quality control inspections before, during, and after CNC operations.

Frontline Supervisor: Online virtual live classroom  
Quinsigamond Community College

Spring Session 2022:  May 3 - June 30, 2022 
Days & Time: 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm

This 55 hour, practical supervisory course takes strong performers and develops them into strong leaders. This course is designed for employees that were promoted to supervisor as well as those employees you are cultivating to a supervisory position. Key topics: Effective Communication, Leadership, Employee Relations, Performance Management & More!

Prerequisite: This training requires you to be elected by your current manufacturing employer. It is specifically for those that are front line supervisors or will become frontline supervisors.  It is not for other leadership positions such as HR.
